Sarah & Paxton

Oh, my first blog post...where do I begin? Well let's start here-we are no longer Brittany Michelle Photography. I've been on the fence of changing the business name lately. It just wasn't something I was excited to tell potential clients and it just didn't flow very well for me. However, it was what branded me. If I changed the name, I have to possibility of losing clients and re-starting all over. Back from the bottom again. Then something happened and it was the sign I needed all along. Sweet Magnolia Photo & Design, LLC and here we are. I'll do another blog post soon how the whole idea behind the name and what you can look forward to with us and the new brand. The business I'm proud to call mine!

Now, let's get back to the whole reason for this blog post! Oh how I love spring. We are teased with summer weather, the flowers start to bloom and everyone starts coming out of hibernation. But my favorite is that the ice cream stands open. ;) But with the warm weather comes beautiful sunshine and a warm breeze, perfect for an outdoor photo session. During the month of May, I love to highlight mothers for Mother's Day. Mommy & Me sessions are my absolute favorite. I encourage all mothers to have photos with their children. I love every single photo I have of me and mom when I was much younger. She may not love them like me, but I promise you mommies, us (your children), we appreciate those photos so much.

I got to photograph Sarah back in the winter time while she was pregnant with her darling son, Paxton. You will all remember this session..the flower mama who bared the cold and snow to take boudoir maternity photos! She was awesome to photograph and I could not wait to photograph her with her new arrival, Paxton. It was such a great way to kick off the Mommy & Me sessions for the month. This session is one of those, I want to share EVERY SINGLE IMAGE. I mean it when I say, every single one was just perfect. But my favorite images are the happy accidents. All photographers get them. The in between poses shots that weren't suppose to happen but did. So let me set the scene for you and the session..the infamous lace backdrop was set. A simple but yet so rustic and stunning backdrop for all sorts of sessions. A warm breeze, colorful tulips and a glowing momma. Just take a look for yourself.
